(TeaParty.org) – Republican senatorial nominee Roy Moore held a rally Tuesday evening in Fairhope, Alabama, as he enters the last week of his campaign against Democrat Doug Jones. He was joined by Steve Bannon, former White House Chief of Strategy and Breitbart News chairman, one day after President Donald Trump gave his official endorsement, Breitbart News reports.
It was two political titans converging on the battlefield for the forces of good – economic nationalism, objective truth, and American values:
“They want to destroy Judge Roy Moore and you know why?” Bannon asked the crowd of 350 people who gathered in a barn in Fairhope to support Moore’s bid for senator. “They want to take your voice away.”
The entire force of the Washington Swamp had avalanched on Moore when Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, one of the most powerful and ferocious of the NeverTrumpers, spent $30 million on Luther Strange during the primaries – and Moore still won with only $2 million.
“They think you’re a bunch of rubes,” Bannon told the audience. “They hold you in total contempt. It’s not Judge Moore they’re trying to shut up — it’s you.”
Recent polls have shown Moore taking a strong lead over his Democratic opponent, but ultimately, polls don’t matter – they certainly didn’t when Donald Trump was elected president. “All you have to be is the voice of the deplorables, all you have to be is the agent of change, and you will win and you will win big,” he said.
Bannon compared this contest between Moore and Jones as a repetition of the fight between Trump and Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. Jones, Bannon says, represents the corruption and incompetent elite, and everything that Clinton stands for – this is a referendum on the ways of the Clinton class.
Virtually nobody in the Washington Swamp Establishment was spared Bannon’s ire. He tore into Jeff Flake, the RINO hack who wrote a $100 check for Jones, signing it with “Country Before Party.” That was just complete nonsense. So are open borders, partial birth abortion, raising taxes, and sanctuary cities all good for your country? Are Democrats the only party who care about the counry?
“If you’re going to write a check, brother, write a check!” Bannon said, and laughed.
But the full force of his flames was reserved for Mitt Romney, who had unleashed a Twitter attack right at Moore, calling him a “stain on the GOP.”
“Roy Moore in the US Senate would be a stain on the GOP and on the nation. Leigh Corfman and other victims are courageous heroes. No vote, no majority is worth losing our honor, our integrity.”

Bannon fired back: “Judge Moore is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point,” he said. “Judge Moore served his country in one of the toughest wars we ever had, in Vietnam.”
Then he unleashed a brutally long knock-out on the failed presidential candidate. “You want to talk about honor and integrity brother? Bring it. Bring it here to Alabama! You have the guts to get on the stage with a man who served in Vietnam and you expect us to believe ‘honor and integrity?’ Judge Roy Moore has more honor and integrity in the pinky finger than your entire family has in its whole DNA!”
“This has been a very unusual race,” said Moore. “I’ve never seen a race where so many national figures have come to Alabama.”
“Why is this race so special?” he asked. “It’s because this is a precursor. Donald Trump did one of the most tremendous things anyone could do – he fought both the Democrats AND the Republicans and became president of the United States.”
The election of Donald Trump was another chance, he said, and warned that if we don’t take action and try to change things, we’re going to lose it. This is the first Senate election since the election of the president – will the people vote for someone inside the DC Establishment, or are the people going to choose someone who’s not part of the Establishment?
If McConnell thought that he would get away from Moore’s fury, he had another thing coming.
“The folks in Alabama were always going to decide, Mitch,” he said, directly addressing the frog-faced King of the Establishment Swamp. “They have no interest in what you have to say.”
McConnell and the liberal media waged an all-out war on Moore’s career and reputation by issuing a report, citing several women’s testimonies, that said he pursued them as teenagers more than 30 years ago. McConnell immediately called on him to step aside, saying that he “believes the women.”
But once the allegations were proven false and the media seemingly forgot all about it, McConnell changed his tune to that of “let the people of Alabama decide.”
Face it, Mitch – your plan to stop Moore has finally croaked.
