(TeaParty.org) – It’s always invigorating to hear the American people lift their voice up and denounce un-American leaders.
It’s particularly invigorating when they’re doing so literally…on live TV.
This is what made for a delightful clip from the New York City tree-lighting ceremony at Rockefeller center when event-goers loudly booed mayor Bill de Blasio as he prepared to flip the switch.
Their dislike for de Blasio is certainly warranted.
The man has openly praised socialism, forgotten to mention the names of the victims of a terrorist attack at an event honoring them, routinely engages in anti-police rhetoric, and famously opted to fly to the G20 summit to protest Trump rather than attend the funeral of an officer who was slain, execution style, in the Bronx in 2017.
NYPD police, as a result, has made perfectly clear how they feel about the mayor, going as far as to boo him at police academy graduations and turn their backs on him at one of the police funerals he actually bothered showing up to.
So it was particularly gratifying to see how the crowd reacted when de Blasio was introduced at the time-honored Rockefeller tree-lighting ceremony, which has happened every year since 1931 and was broadcast live across the country.
De Blasio’s open contempt for police officers isn’t his only scandal, either.
New York City isn’t exactly known for their solidly conservative views, but we can certainly appreciate why any American would dislike this scummy mayor.
Well done, New Yorkers.
