(TeaParty.org) – It is a fact very inconvenient to the leftist narrative that the rich, famous, and powerful opponents to the border wall often have walls around their personal homes.
One great example, of course, is Obama, who, TMZ reported in 2016, purchased a home in Washington D.C. with his very own wall.
Don’t believe me? Here’s the headline: “President Obama: Brickhouse: I’ve even got my own wall.”
President Trump has recently reminded the world that, while Democrats in Congress dig in their heels, refusing to agree to funding for a border wall, Obama has his very own wall.
The Democrats’ main arguments against the wall are that a) “walls don’t work” and b) “the wall is immoral” because they keep out desperate, huddling masses yearning to breathe free.
If walls don’t work, how are they effective in keeping out the huddled masses, you might ask? I don’t know, ask the Democrats.
Of course, the “walls don’t work” narrative is wrong in more than one way, and Fox host Tucker Carlson recently brought on a guest who busted that premise wide open.
David Rubin, mayor of Shiloh, Israel, joined Carlson to explain how his city was able to eliminate illegal immigration across Israel’s border entirely completely.
They build a wall.
Between 2010 and 2012, roughly 55,000 illegal immigrants from Africa crossed Israel’s border with Egypt.
To a small nation like Israel, Ruben explained, “that’s a lot.”
As a result of this wave of illegal immigration, crime in working-class neighborhoods where the migrants settled skyrocketed.
A grassroots response to the mass migration eventually put pressure on the government, and Israeli officials agreed to demands to…say it with me now…build a wall.
It took just a few years to build, and in 2016, a mere 11 illegal immigrants managed to enter the country through that route.
The wall was added to, and, stunning, 2017 saw that number eliminated entirely.
“There was not an illegal immigrant that made it through the southern border,” Rubin said.
“It works,” he added.
“The fact is, now nobody’s complaining,” he added. “Everyone’s happy we don’t have illegal immigrants in Israel.”
You don’t say?
