(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – After Mitch McConnell attempted to lambast President Trump following his acquittal in the Senate, President Trump responded in kind and now the gloves are off.
Going up against the former president has proven to be a futile effort for many RINOs in Congress. Apparently, with Trump out of the picture, establishment Republicans like Liz Cheney (WY), Adam Kinzinger (IL), Mitt Romney (UT), Mitch McConnell (KY) and company seemed to think it was their time to “take back” the GOP.
Unfortunately for them, Trump fundamentally changed the base of the party and there are no signs of his supporters abandoning him now or in the future, especially not in favor of RINO swamp creatures who are more concerned with self-preservation than actual Americans.
Mitch McConnell is a lame-duck. His political days are numbered and Trump has made it clear that he intends to stick with the Republican Party and there is no place in it for McConnell.
Once allies, McConnell and Trump are now at odds with Trump treating McConnell in a way he’s only previously reserved for Democrats.
In a strongly-worded public statement, Trump called McConnell a “dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack,” and asserted that the Republican Party would “never again be respected or strong” as long as McConnell was a leader.
In fairness, McConnell started the mud-slinging when he voted to acquit Trump but then turned around and stated that Trump did bear the responsibility for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot because of the “falsehoods” he spread regarding election fraud.
He attempted to justify his vote to acquit by claiming that Trump is no longer president but it’s clear how he really feels. It’s also obvious he’s desperately trying to walk the party line and there is no room in the new GOP for this kind of self-serving politics.
McConnell only showed that he can be used by the Democrats which is a scary thought considering just how radical the party has become.
Trump himself pointed out that Democrats played “McConnell like a fiddle” and blamed the Senate Minority Leader for opening the door for Democrats to win the runoff Senate races in Georgia by opposing the $2,000 stimulus checks.
Regarding the Georgia Senate runoff races, Trump said, “we should have won both U.S. Senate seats, but McConnell matched the Democrat offer of $2,000 stimulus checks with $600.”
Of more importance, however, is the fact that Georgia was lost because of a gross lack of election integrity which Trump blamed on Republicans.
“Many Republicans in Georgia voted Democrat, or just didn’t vote, because of their anguish at their inept Governor, Brian Kemp, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and the Republican Party, for not doing its job on Election Integrity during the 2020 Presidential race.”
It’s clear that the Republican Party is going to have to do what it needs to do to survive and it will never survive if we keep around swamp creatures like McConnell who claim to be Republican but also play footsie with the radical left Democrats.
Trump is still the future of the GOP and Americans who are against the corrupt establishment must remain solid in their support of him.
