UNHINGED: NYT Reporter Calls For Trump Supporters To Be Considered “Enemies Of The State” To Combat “National Security Threats”

(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – The radical left truly despises freedom-loving Americans with conservative viewpoints who voted for President Trump. They don’t even attempt to hide their disdain and hate for us.

New York Times reporter and biased radical leftist, Katie Benner, called for Trump supporters to be labeled “enemies of the state” on Twitter. Thanks to massive backlash in response to her anti-American sentiments, she deleted the tweets but the internet is forever.

After the first hearing of the sham Jan. 6 committee, Benner took to Twitter to insist the only way to “combat” national security threats within the US was to target those who voted for President Trump.

What’s scary is that Benner is the Times’ Justice Department reporter. When she eventually decided to delete the tweets, she posted another tweet explaining that she deleted the previous ones because they were “unclearly worded.”

What an interesting problem to have for someone who gets paid to use words. The reality is that Benner just said the quiet part out loud but couldn’t handle the backlash. Benner said exactly what she meant and we all got the message.

Naturally, the Times had no response in regards to questions and requests for comment by Fox News.

Her original tweets are nothing short of truly despicable and un-American. She stressed that the Jan. 6 committee “underscores” the ongoing threat within the US.

“Today’s #January6thSelectCommittee underscores the America’s current, essential natsec dilemma: Work to combat legitimate national security threats now entails calling a politician’s supporters enemies of the state,” Benner wrote.

Benner went on, “As Americans, we believe that state power should not be used to work against a political figure or a political party. But what happens if a politician seems to threaten the state? If the politician continues to do so out of office and his entire party supports that threat?”

She noted that the “dilemma,” AKA Trump’s presidency, was not resolved with the phony Russian probe and two impeachment attempts and therefore, “That leaves it up to voters, making even more essential free, fair access to the polls.”

She really managed to hit a number of leftist talking points in her Twitter posts.

Her comments were met with immediate backlash from critics.

“Absolutely amazing: the New York Times’ Justice Department reporter says the US faces an ‘essential natsec dilemma’: namely, that Trump supporters are ‘enemies of the state’ and all of the GOP is a threat to the State. This is a reporter — not an op-ed writer — saying this,” journalist Glenn Greenwald reacted.

“Here we have an NYT reporter, channeling the views of the corrupt FBI and DOJ officials who leak to her, straight-up saying that your political opposition to the ruling regime makes you an enemy of the state by definition,” The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis summarized.

“This is such a wildly extreme statement on so many levels, couched in the phony language of journalistic impartiality,” journalist Michael Tracey slammed Benner’s comments.

US House Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) who was rejected from the Jan. 6 committee by Nancy Pelosi, wrote, “That’s the best summary of the Biden Admin’s domestic national security strategy I’ve ever read.”

Indeed. The disturbing part is that Banks is right.

  1. The true enemies of the state are the unelected progressive bureaucrats buried inside the federal government for decades collecting the huge salaries and benefits while hardworking, honest Americans pay the freight.

    • The main stream corrupted media is By NO means friends of today’s honest hardworking American citizens folks .
      Liars, everyone of them.

  2. Trump supporters ARE enemies of the state, and have said as much many times. If you think that the entire system is a sham that’s been set up specifically to lie and cheat conservatives out of their god given right to win elections despite being a clear minority in America then you are in fact, an enemy of the state. How enemies of the state are treated by the majority is another matter, but enemies of the state they are by their own admission.
