(Gateway Pundit) – Cassandra Fairbanks broke down the errant stupidity of a Missouri School of Journalism professor who asserted that the National Rifle Association is more dangerous than ISIS.
The professor, George Kennedy, wrote an article in the Missourian detailing his stance. He said that politicians who lobby are worse than ISIS who are known to behead a person or two and explode themselves for their “god”:
“What makes ISIS so feared is its willingness to kill in pursuit of its goal of creating a fundamentalist caliphate,” Kennedy wrote. “What makes the NRA so feared is its willingness to spend heavily and campaign aggressively in pursuit of its goal of removing all restrictions on the possession and use of firearms just about anywhere by just about anyone.”
Fairbanks breaks down the insanity of Kennedy with her usual tact:
The professor, who is paid to educate, continues on to answer the question of which organization is the greater threat to the safety of Americans.
Now, most rational human beings would not even see a need for a list to know that a terror organization is more dangerous than a group aiming to protect the Second Amendment, but Kennedy is on another level.
Kennedy asserts that the average number of Americans killed per year is nine, ignoring the surge in mass tragedies such as the Pulse Nightclub shooting and San Bernardino attacks. He then blames the NRA for every murder in America, citing 11,737 “Americans killed by other Americans.”
Kennedy continues his bizarre piece by claiming that “there is no denying that the NRA is Missouri’s and the nation’s most vociferous, most generous to its friends and most vindictive to its enemies advocate of a free-fire zone for guns of all types in all places.” Ultimately, he concludes that the NRA is a “danger to us all,” after downplaying the threat of Islamic terrorism.
Professors in America (and around the world) are running wild these days with positions and stances on topics that are more or less t’d up for them to look good and then they choose to undermine their possibility of sound logical to take a contrary position that is fundamentally flawed and moronic. What inspires someone to write such drivel? What inspires someone to hire idiots like Kennedy to teach journalism, of all things.
Looks like #FakeNews starts at the collegiate level and works its way up. Gross.
