Punk Kid Smiles, Waves Middle Fingers After Allegedly Assaulting 71-Year-Old Man

(Conservative Tribune) – In the Vietnam era, leftists who were arrested defiantly gave the clenched fist gesture associated with communism and the Black Panthers in mug shots and in the courtroom. The most infamous example was radical Jane Fonda defiantly making the gesture in a mug shot.

Others angrily extended the middle finger.

In one recent instance, an alleged criminal gave the middle finger in court, showing not only defiance but glee.

Kevin McAllister, the son of Union City police Chief Darryl McAllister, appeared in Manteca, California court, along with a 16-year-old companion, for kicking a 71-year-old Sikh to the ground.

Instead of being remorseful, McAllister grinned and gave two middle fingers to the court, as shown in this tweet from KTXL.

On Monday around 6 a.m., the 18-year-old was caught on a security camera approaching Sahib Sing Natt, 71, who he kicked at least three times.

Police said McAllister and his sidekick demanded money from Natt, kicked him to the ground and brandished a gun.

McAllister’s father, Union City police chief Daryl McAllister, aided local police in locating his son.

McAllister was arrested Wednesday and is charged with elder abuse, attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

The police chief wrote a heartfelt post on Facebook, saying his son must pay for his crime.

“(W)ords can barely describe how embarrassed, dejected, and hurt my wife, daughters, and I feel right now … Despite having the desire any parent would have in wanting to protect their child, my oath is (and always will be) to the law and my vow of integrity guides me through this horrendous difficulty.”

Our hats are off to McAllister for acknowledging his son deserves justice for his crime, despite how difficult that must’ve been.

Because the victim was a Sikh, police are exploring the possibility that McAllister and his companion committed a hate crime.

The president of the local NAACP, Bobby Bivens, argued the assault was not a hate crime, downplaying it as “just a crime committed by some young people,” according to KTXL.

It’s a shame youth like McAllister have no respect for the law or its consequences.

McAllister expressed no remorse and, if that photo was an indication, seemed gleeful about what happened.

We can only hope some jail time will turn him around.
