(TeaParty.org) – It’s not uncommon for one’s offspring to end up on the opposite end of the political spectrum once they grow up and develop their own ideas.
It’s certainly noteworthy, however, when a prominent member of a Presidential administration has a child who is an outspoken member of the opposing political party, especially in 2018.
The son of Former National Security Adviser to Obama, Susan Rice, is, quite surprisingly to many, an avid Trump supporter and the “the Stanford College Republicans president,” according to Fox News.
And he was just assaulted by an angry, violent liberal at a pro-Kavanaugh rally.
John David Rice-Cameron has pressed charges after alleging that a fellow student “hit him” and “forcefully pushed him back”.
The son of Susan Rice — the former Obama official who lied about Benghazi & is talking about challenging Susan Collins over her Kavanaugh vote — was assaulted by a leftist for being pro-Kavanaugh. An arrest was made: https://t.co/M2eSL2eDeB #mob

According to The Gateway Pundit, the incident occurred when Rice-Cameron and fellow conservative students were “promoting an ‘innocent until proven guilty’ debate table.”
A tweet from that day indicates that police were called following the altercation:
Had to take down previous tweet as per request from the student who got assaulted. Here it is:

The Stanford College Republicans also reportedly posted about the incident to their Facebook page, explaining that their peaceful attempt to hold civil discourse was subject to other attacks throughout the day.
Today, SCR experienced the violent and totalitarian behavior of the unhinged Stanford left. During a 'Change My Mind'…
The Stanford Daily reports that the student accused of the attack on Rice-Cameron is 21-year-old Melinda Hernandez, who denies the attack, but does not refute physical contact with Rice-Cameron, either.
The school, regardless, is apparently treating it as assault: “According to Stanford Department of Public Safety spokesperson Bill Larson, Hernandez was placed under a private person arrest at Rice-Cameron’s request and issued a citation for battery.”
The local District Attorney’s office will also review the incident.
Rice-Cameron is “pressing ‘full charges’” against Hernandez. Originally, he declined to comment to The Stanford Later, but later agreed to give a statement.
“She got in my face and proceeded to hit me in the chest area and push me back forcefully. Nobody should be assaulted on campus, under any circumstances,” he said.
Hernandez, the paper reports, also took to Facebook to claim she is innocent, writing in a public forum that “This is clearly an exertion of power and privilege by [SCR]. Those who know my character, from a distance or up close, know my fight in social justice lies in peace.”
This post, however, may have been deleted or made private, as it can now not be found on the platform.
In June, Fox News reported that Rice-Cameron credits the rise of the Tea Party for his interest in conservatism. He claims, despite their vast ideological differences, his relationship with his mother is still strong.
“My mother and I have a great relationship, and my mother believes strongly in the free and respectful exchange of ideas. We disagree on most of the standard Republican/Democrat disagreements. However, we agree that America is the greatest nation the world has ever seen, and thus, we believe that America has an important role to play as a force for liberty and justice on the world stage.”
It wasn’t long ago that most liberals would agree with conservatives on this point, but now, it’s a rarity.
Let’s hope that it comes back into fashion among leftists very soon.
