(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – Much of the racial division that exists in our country was started when Barack Obama was the president and used his time in the office to help back up the narrative that was being put forward by the mainstream media, which painted up law enforcement officers as inherently racist.
And things just sort of snowballed from there. Black Lives Matter was a movement that was birthed under his watch, now look at the violence they perpetrate today on city streets across the country.
When folks look at the division and the nastiness that exists today, they typically blame it all on Donald Trump, but truth be told, this all started falling apart under Obama’s watch. He bears a lot of responsibility for the mayhem and havoc we have witnessed this year.
But according to Michael Brown, a contributor with WND, Obama had an opportunity with his new book to take all of the hatred and division running rampant in the nation and put forward a message of healing that would help make things a bit better for everyone.
However, that’s not what happened. Instead, he paints up America as vile, evil, and totally racist, which will no doubt only make the divide between us all that much deeper.
There’s an excerpt floating around from the upcoming memoir, Obama’s second, titled “Promised Land,” which makes the claim that millions of American citizens were “spooked by a black man in the White House.”
Well, to be fair, the whole quote says that Trump “promised an elixir for the racial anxiety” of “millions of Americans spooked by a black man in the White House.”
Um, isn’t Obama aware that he won not one, but TWO terms as president? That required a whole lot of people showing up and voting against a white guy. How can those same millions of people be racist and not want a black man in office? That doesn’t make any sense.
Obama says these same individuals were prey to “the dark spirits that had long been lurking on the edges of the modern Republican Party — xenophobia, anti-intellectualism, paranoid conspiracy theories, an antipathy toward black and brown folks.”
To Obama, the whole modern GOP is just a big viper’s nest of racist folk who hate people with dark colored skin. Oh and we aren’t intellectual, which is a high-brow way of calling someone stupid.
He went on to write, “It was as if my very presence in the White House had triggered a deep-seated panic, a sense that the natural order had been disrupted. Which is exactly what Donald Trump understood when he started peddling assertions that I had not been born in the United States and was thus an illegitimate president.”
This is just wrong on so many levels. With Obama’s following, he had a real opportunity to be a balm and make up for the racism he stoked for eight years in the White House. But instead, he chooses to throw gasoline on the fire and target an entire group of people as if they are all the same.
Here’s the reality. Back in 2008, Obama brought in 43 percent of the white vote. That doesn’t seem like a country that’s racist and terrified of the thought of a black man being in the Oval Office.
At the end of the day, Obama is just up to his same old tricks. What’s disappointing is that so many of our fellow countrymen will buy what he’s selling.
