(Angry Patriot) – Fans are tired of the political grandstanding and lecturing in professional sports. We just want to watch a good game.
After becoming a free agent in March, Colin Kaepernick is STILL looking for a team to call home. Despite endless rumors floating around, the real reason the quarterback has not been signed is because managers are sick of his politics. (via ESPN)
Colin Kaepernick had risen out of obscurity during the 2016 season, when he refused to stand for the National Anthem to protest allegations of police violence against blacks.
Various rumors continue to circulate as to why Kaepernick remains a free agent. Some claimed he lacked talent, others postulated that he was demanding — too hard to deal with during contract negotiations.
However, Kaepernick hasn’t even had the chance to discuss money, let alone whether or not he will be a starter, because no team is willing to start negotiations with him in the first place. (via Bleacher Report)
Managers are staying away from Kaepernick because they see him as a liability. The quarterback is not good enough to justify the backlash that would be inflicted on the signing team.
A recent poll by E-Poll Marketing Research found that Kaepernick is the least liked player in the NFL. Of those surveyed, 29% of Americans told pollsters that the quarterback is “disliked a lot.”
That number climbs to 36% when you only consider fans of the NFL. Sports fans are getting sick of politics being dragged into their sports. Kaepernick has emerged as the epitome of ham-fisted protests. He’s a useless whiner, and team owners don’t want an idiot on their team drumming up awful anti-American headlines all the time.
While the Disney-owned network, ESPN, is pushing politics into sports, the actual managers of the football teams are attempting to avoid conflict. Kaepernick is a public relations nightmare, and teams do not want to take the risk.
Kaepernick’s political stunts have made him famous with Democrat politicians and liberal celebrities, but the majority of Americans still love our country and respect the flag — and Kaepernick insulted them when he refused to stand for the anthem. If you don’t want to respect our flag, get out of the country!
Average Americans cannot stand to see a millionaire football player crying on a Sunday about being oppressed. You’re one of the richest people in the country, Colin! Get over it.
Kaepernick has learned the hard way that actions have consequences. Engage in whiny protests all you want, but Americans don’t have to put up with it. Colin, on top of being a terrible football player, is also a terrible American. Here’s to hoping he spends the next NFL season in the unemployment line.
