(Gateway Pundit) – Inspector General Michael Horowitz informed lawmakers Wednesday on Capitol Hill his much-anticipated report on the FBI’s handling of Hillary Clinton’s email investigation has entered the final stages.
Sources are saying the report on the FBI’s 7th floor under Comey’s Directorship is absolutely damning and “worse than expected.”
Inspector General Michael Horowitz informed lawmakers on Capitol Hill Wednesday that his office has provided leadership at the Justice Department and FBI with a copy of the draft report and has requested that they review it for classified information.
“We will update you on the specific timing for the report’s release, and I will be prepared to provide a briefing and testify publicly about our findings and conclusions as soon as the report is released,” Horowitz wrote in a letter to members of various committees.
The report is not yet finalized, however, as lawyers for the various individuals criticized in it have an opportunity to review it with their clients and submit rebuttal points for consideration. That process is underway with several witnesses having been notified they can review it later this week, according to sources familiar with the matter, but its precise conclusions and recommendations have largely been kept under wraps.
Sources previously told TIME Magazine, Comey faces a punishing report from Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
Last Wednesday, James Gagliano, a retired FBI agent who left the bureau in 2015 said buckle up because the IG report will be very damning. In fact, his sources are saying “it’s worse than expected.”
So far, Inspector General Michael Horowitz, an Obama-appointee has delivered.
The Inspector General released a scathing report on former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe in mid-April.
The report by the Office of Inspector General criticized McCabe for “lack of candor” regarding his disclosure to Wall Street Journal reporters before the 2016 election.
McCabe lied at least three times under oath, he lied to the Inspector General and lied to James Comey.
As a result of these investigations and reports, Andrew McCabe has been criminally referred to the Justice Department twice.
Unfortunately without an active Attorney General, none of the criminal referrals sent to the DOJ will result in indictments.
