Ilhan Omar Calls Illegal Aliens “Undocumented Americans” In Statement Opposing ICE Deportation Raids

(Gateway Pundit) – Proving Tucker Carlson right again, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) called illegal aliens “undocumented Americans” in a statement opposing rumored ICE deportation raids this weekend targeting those with final deportation orders. Omar also offered her support to illegal aliens “who seek a better life in our country,”–which is not the standard for asylum.

Omar came to the U.S. legally as a child who was granted asylum along with her family from war-torn Somalia in the 1990s and later became a citizen.

“#ICEraids are expected to begin this Sunday: **07/14** Every person, including undocumented Americans, has rights if they are approached by ICE. 1/”

“The @ACLU has put together a guide for your rights if you or someone you know is stopped and questioned by ICE. Read up on your rights and then share it with your friends and family:”

“These raids will dehumanize immigrants and tear families apart. This will not make our country any stronger. It will only traumatize children, destroy lives, and make our country less safe.”

“If you are an undocumented immigrant, please know that you are in my thoughts and that I will keep fighting to make our immigration system welcome all who seek a better life in our country.”

Rep. Omar is calling for Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson to be taken off the air via an advertiser boycott over his criticism of her this week.
