(Gateway Pundit) – German Conservative AfD politician Frank Magnitz – a member of the German parliament – was badly injured in the German town of Bremen late Monday in what is being described as an attempted assassination.
They knocked him out and kicked at his head.
EU activist and reporter Sotiri Dimpinoudis reported:
#Breaking: Just in – German #AfD-politician Frank Magnitz (member of the German parliament) was badly injured in the German town #Bremen in #Germany, probably by three persons of the Antifa. German police declared the violent assault a political assassination attempt.
In a now deleted post on a popular far-left website, an Antifa group claimed responsibility for the assassination attempt later this week, saying that they wanted to “free him” from his “fascist” ideas.

On Friday Bremen Police released the video of the attack on AfD Member of Parliament Frank Magnitz, which seems to show the masked attacker holding an object and then passing it to his fellow attacker.
Left-wing media had mocked the victim for claiming he was hit by “a two-by four”.
In an interview with DIE WELT from his hospital bed, Magnitz confirmed he was rescued by a construction worker, who told him he was hit by “a two-by four.” Bremen Police had claimed there was no such object on the CCTV, leading to an unprecedented physical attack on the AfD and the assault victim for allegedly lying about the attack.
The CCTV footage released by Bremen Police seems to support Magnitz’s story, showing the cowardly attacker hitting the elected representative over the head with an object in his left hand, and then hurriedly passing the object to an accomplice. The police are asking for witness to come forward in the case.
Frank Magnitz is the father of six children and is married to a Turkish woman. An post by Bremen Antifa taking credit for the attack nevertheless called him “racist” and “far-right”.
The office of AfD representative Petr Bystron released a list of 157 major violent attacks on AfD politicians in Germany since 2013, saying the list was by no means complete.
It looks like the attackers had a weapon.
