(TeaParty.org) – If the way the mainstream media covers mass shootings these days doesn’t make you sick, there’s a good chance you don’t have a pulse.
The opportunistic gun control zealots don’t even wait until the bodies are cold before mocking the faithful and calling for tyrannical gun control measures, all under the guise of “caring” about victims of gun violence.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo put this on full display this week not even waiting one measly day after a gunman shot and killed 12 people, including a responding Sheriff’s deputy, at a nightclub in Thousand Oaks, California.
On his evening “news” broadcast, Cuomo took the opportunity to shamelessly mock people of faith and beat the fact-devoid drum of gun control.

Cuomo began his despicable ranting by complaining that there isn’t a “consensus” on gun control, which most likely means that Americans are too smart to listen to him and his liberal cronies when it comes to gun laws and gun violence.
“The only consensus there is is in a canard, and here it is,” Cuomo said. “First, I would like to offer my thoughts and prayers. Because that’s what you do when you offer thoughts and prayers. You mock those who lost loved ones. Because if you gave it any thought at all, you would never walk away from any of these without figuring out a better way to deal with them.”
“And prayer. You think leaving it to God is the answer?” he ranted on.
Right–because an omnipotent creator God is just sitting around waiting for us to pass Hitlerian-style gun laws, right, Chris?
“We pray for strength, we pray for wisdom, for resolve, but we clearly don’t want to act on any of those here. So what are you praying for? What would it take?”
He wasn’t finished. In fact, he was just getting started:
“How about a stadium full of children of the most influential people in our society all holding puppies?” Cuomo said. “What if they were all shot and killed? Would we act? Oh, don’t be ridiculous to suggest something — is it? Is it ridiculous? More ridiculous than doing nothing? Time after time after time? Listening to these people pouring out their pain, crying along with them, saying you care. You know the answer to the only question that matters. We can do better. And we all have to live with doing nothing. And the next time is coming, and more and more, you, me, our leaders, we’re all becoming part of the problem. Think and pray on that.”
Just in case you were worried that he wasn’t making a hyperbolic, emotionally-evocative and logically-fallacy-laden argument, he drove this nail in his rhetorical coffin.
It’s hard to decide if Cuomo’s shameful rants are more foolish or disturbing. They’re definitely both, and it’s astounding that a mainstream network news outlet is still willing to employ someone that not only pumps out such bold-faced biased propaganda, but does so under the guise that it’s remotely coherent or intelligent.
It goes without saying that his mockery of “thoughts and prayers” and the millions of Americans who place their faith in a higher being is tasteless, disgusting, and tone-deaf.
What’s more, however, it’s a straw man to offer up his own political agenda as a counter-point…because he is arguing from the stance that “thoughts and prayers” are all the right is doing.
The thing is, considering California has all the gun control a liberal could dream of, it didn’t stop this mass murder.
Their end goal is mass gun confiscation, and all they can do to skirt around this point is to mock decent people who offer spiritual solidarity and comfort in a time of devastating loss.
Now more than ever these victims, and our whole nation, needs thoughts and prayers. The left’s solution to gun violence is certainly less effective than the power of prayer, and most people on the right wouldn’t even say they pray to prevent more gun violence, but that the families of the victims would feel the comfort and protection of the Lord.
California is a perfect example of the failures of gun control.
And Chris Cuomo is a perfect example of our godless and psychotic the left has become in their pursuit of a tyrannical agenda.
