(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – The mainstream media will fall all over themselves to deny it, but according to a top U.S. security official, it is appearing more and more likely that the COVID-19 virus originated not from a Wuhan wet market, but from a Wuhan laboratory.
After all, it has always seemed highly dubious at best that the novel coronavirus originated from a bat sold at a market just a stone’s throw away from a lab where Chinese scientists were studying coronavirus in bats but it was the bat at the market that was responsible for the spread.
What are the odds?
According to U.S. National Security Adviser Matthew Pottinger who Zero Hedge reports recently discussed the origins of the virus in a Zoom call with U.K. officials the most “credible” theory of the virus’ origin is, in fact, the lab theory.
“There is a growing body of evidence that the lab is likely the most credible source of the virus,” Pottinger said in reference to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which was conducting the aforementioned coronavirus research.
The Daily Mail, reporting on the U.S. official’s comments, noted that “even China’s leaders openly admit their previous claims that the virus originated in a Wuhan market are false.”
Zero Hedge notes that Pottinger was one of the first U.S. officials to alert the White House to concerns over the origins of the virus back in January of 2020.
He has suspected all along that it could be traced back to a lab and ordered U.S. intelligence agencies to search for evidence.
“Good thing he kept this theory to himself, or Twitter may have banned him,” Zero Hedge quips, although it’s not terribly difficult to believe that this would be the case.
Pottinger also slammed the World Health Organization’s investigation into the origins of a virus as a farce.
“MPs around the world have a moral role to play in exposing the WHO investigation as a Potemkin exercise,” in reference to fake villages built in 18th Century Crimea to give the impression to visiting Russian Empress Catherine the Great that the region was thriving.
The Daily Mail further noted that former Tory Party leader Iain Duncan Smith, who attended the meeting characterized Pottinger’s comments as representing a “stiffening” of the U.S. position on the lab theory amid reports that the nation is in contact with a whistleblower from the Wuhan institute.
“I was told the US have an ex-scientist from the laboratory in America at the moment,” he said. “That was what I heard a few weeks ago.”
“I was led to believe this is how they have been able to stiffen up their position on how this outbreak originated,” he added.
The British lawmaker also noted that the extent Beijing went to restrict access to the laboratory only increased suspicion that this was the original source of the virus, adding that people who have been in these facilities “maintain” that this was the case.
“We don’t know what they have been doing in that laboratory. They may well have been fiddling with bat coronaviruses and looking at them and they made a mistake. I’ve spoken to various people who believe that to be the case,” he said.
