Democrat Mayor Requires Police Officers To Help Illegals Evade Prosecution

( – It is no hyperbole to say that the Democrats have positioned themselves to be the party that hates law and order.

They openly advocate for aiding and abetting criminals while leaving disabled veterans in the dust.

Regardless, you may still be surprised by the wildly irresponsible actions of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey who is using his police force to help protect illegal immigrants.

You read that right.

According to a report from NBC News, Mayor Frey is requiring police cruisers to contain placards that inform illegal immigrants, in Spanish and English.

The “Know-Your-ICE-Rights” placards is very much the equivalent to instructing police officers to help illegal aliens evade the law. Police officers are meant to enforce the law.

“Right now, cities have to step up and do what our federal administration and Congress won’t,” Frey said, alluding to the Trump administration’s policy to uphold federal law. Which one expects from the federal government, after all.

“We will not let this lack of compassion at the highest levels of our government prevent us from doing what is right for our immigrant communities here in Minneapolis,” he virtue signaled on Twitter.

“They will make it clear that you don’t have to answer questions about where you were born, your immigration status, whether you are a citizen and that you have the right to remain silent,” he explained.

“You can choose to not speak to immigration officials” the placards read. They also warn that anything illegal immigrants share with police officers may also be shared with immigration officials.

How to Minneapolis police feel about this move?

Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis appeared on Fox and Friends to explain the dangers of the outrageous policy.

“They refuse to accept the first word is ‘illegal.’ They’re an illegal immigrant. It’s obviously illegal to be here to begin with, and then secondly, further illegal activity is what’s led them to the back of a squad car,” he said.

“We’re all in law enforcement together. And we just feel that it erodes the safety of our citizens,” he added.

What he said next is something American citizens everywhere need to take to heart–anyone who finds policies like this outrageous needs to get out there, speak up, and vote.

“We’re just hoping that the voters get out and, at the state level, tell the Minneapolis politicians, ‘Hey, this isn’t what we want in our state,’” he urged.

Frey is an elected official, entrusted with keeping Minneapolis residents safe, but he’s abusing that power to put them at risk just for the sake of empty virtue signaling.

Voters need to realize they have the power to change this.
