(Big League Politics) – Here is a message sent out to students and parents by the assistant principal of a D.C. public high school, encouraging the community to participate in a protest on Capitol Hill for universal background checks on firearm purchases. The protest occurs on a Tuesday and protesters “depart for the Capitol” at 10:30 AM, according to a program itinerary. The DC public schools calendar confirms that students are supposed to be in session on Tuesday February 12, 2019.
