(TeaParty.org) – We know that Democrats are determined to remain in staunch denial of illegal immigration’s negative impact on our nation, but former California Governor Jerry Brown may have outdone them all.
Brown, who left office this week, tried to cover his rear in his final days in office in an interview with KXTV last week by denying that the murder o Newman, California police Corporal Ronil Singh had nothing to do with the state’s sanctuary city policies.
Singh is survived by his widow, Anamika Chand-Singh, and the couple’s 5-month-old son.
Gustavo Perez Arriaga, Singh’s alleged killer, is an illegal immigrant with gang ties and a criminal record who shot Sing during a traffic stop after being suspected of a DUI.
Brown was asked if people like Arriaga could slip through the cracks of California’s lenient immigration laws:
“I don’t think so,” he replied. “I think people now are looking to blame somebody because of the terrible things that happened. But it had nothing to do with the law of California.”
This is, of course, illogical, not to mention insane.
It is impossible to divorce California’s lenient laws regarding illegal aliens from the fact that Arriaga was in the US because he was allowed to be, despite having gone through the proper channels to get there.
It’s also pretty ironic that, for once, a Democrat is willing to blame an assailant for his crime, and not the weapon he used, but do you see how he’s only doing that because his own damaging impact on law and order in California is clearly at fault?
I’d like to say good riddance, but he’s being replaced by someone just as nuts about illegal immigrants as he is so sadly, it may be a long time before law and order make a comeback in California.
