(Christian News Alerts) – “Russiagate” has been at the center of conversations among liberals since it was announced that President Trump won the election. It appears they will stop at nothing to harass every person who has ever been close to the president, including close friends.
According to ABC News, Congressional investigators are now going after Rhona Graff, President Trump’s friend and personal secretary of 30 years. Their questioning centers on emails that Donald Trump Jr. released in June of 2016, in which he had an exchange with Rob Goldstone about meeting up with a Russian attorney named Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower.
The reason Graff has become a target is due to her name being mentioned in one email between Trump Jr. and Goldstone. In the email, it reads, “I can also send this info to your father via Rhona.”
Nothing more about Graff is mentioned, and no subsequent emails have been found that were forwarded to her. According to The Washington Examiner, the meeting between Trump Jr. and Veselnitskaya “went nowhere,” so they did not need to involve Graff.
Besides being Trump’s secretary, Graff is also the senior vice president of the Trump Organization. Throughout the years, and even now, she has been a gatekeeper for people seeking to speak to Donald Trump.
Rep. Peter King (R-NY), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said, “Since her name is in the email, people will want her to answer questions.” What information could she possess regarding a fruitless meeting that she was unaware of until news broke and Trump Jr. released his emails?
President Trump has admitted that he does not use email to communicate to people. In most cases, people email Graff on his behalf, she prints them out if they are important, and presents them to the Mr. Trump.
He will respond by writing on the paper, and Graff will photocopy it back to the person who sent the email. If there was knowledge of this meeting involving both President Trump and Graff, there should be emails to confirm the meeting, but there aren’t.
Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), who is also the top Senate Republican in the Russia probe, stated that he was not sure if they were going to examine Graff’s records or conduct a full interview. He has not contacted Graff yet, so the status of their interactions is still unknown.
Now President Trump’s personal secretary may be drawn into the fruitless “Russiagate” probe. Is it time to end this time-consuming inquiry that is leading nowhere?
Attorney Alan Futerfas, who represents Trump and his employees, stated, “We have yet to receive such an inquiry but will, of course, continue to cooperate with any Committee seeking information.” Despite liberals breathing down everyone’s necks, it seems like there isn’t anything to try and hide.
The committee’s top Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), said that he wants to talk to everyone connected to this. His goal is to get everyone’s story and put together one flowing timeline of events. The sooner this is done, the sooner that Trump Jr., Graff, Kushner, and even President Trump can go about their business, hopefully undisturbed.
As of now, both the Senate and the House Intelligence Committees refused to comment when they would be contacting Graff–if they would be contacting her at all.
