Dems’ tactics to deny Kavanaugh nomination taking toll on party
(Newswars) – Senator Diane Feinstein’s (D-Calif.) tactic of releasing an anonymous letter to the FBI claiming alleged sexual misconduct by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh when he was in high school was a bad move that “makes us look bad,” according to HBO host Bill Maher.
“Now they’re coming at him with this accusation from someone anonymous who that he was at a party…but sexual assault in high school from an anonymous source, I think it makes us look bad,” he said on Friday’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Kavanaugh denied the claims Friday in a statement to the White House, saying: “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.”
The move by Feinstein, who was in possession of the letter well before Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings, signals the left’s rising desperation to stop his confirmation by any means necessary.
Chaos gripped the confirmation hearings earlier this month by disruptions from leftist protesters and delay tactics by Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats in an effort to halt the proceedings.
President Trump condemned the Democrats on Twitter for their childish antics during the hearing.
The Brett Kavanaugh hearings for the future Justice of the Supreme Court are truly a display of how mean, angry, and despicable the other side is. They will say anything, and are only looking to inflict pain and embarrassment to one of the most highly renowned jurists to ever appear before Congress. So sad to see!” he tweeted.
