ALERT: If You Use Verizon, Check Your Bank Account IMMEDIATELY

(Angry Patriot) – Online banking and digital market accounts have made life easier, but not safer. Indeed, the threat of hacking has become one of the major problems of the 21st century.

This week, cell phone giant Verizon was hit with a cyber attack that compromised fourteen million customers. This means that the names and private information of fourteen million Americans could be available for identity thieves, via The Hill.

This is beyond serious.

So far, what is known is that the hack became apparent when NICE Systems, the Israeli provider that runs Verizon’s cloud system, became publicly accessible for a brief time in June.

Such a massive breach raised many questions. First among them is why Verizon uses a not only a third-party company for its cloud database, but why does it use an Israeli and not an American company?

Second of all, given the many data breaches that have attacked cloud-based databases (via Fox Business), why are companies still using the cloud at all?

Finally, this entire story brings to light the sorry state of America’s cyber security. Both public and private entities have been hit time and time again.

Just recently, it is believed that Russian-based hackers infiltrated American nuclear facilities, via Wired. The Russian government or some private entity in that country could now have access to the secrets of America’s nuclear energy industry.

Elsewhere, a Chinese dissident has come forward to admit that as many as 25,000 Chinese intelligence agents are currently at work inside of the U.S. This is in addition to 15,000 recruits who have surfaced since the Chinese Communist Party stepped up their activities in 2012, via Washington Free Beacon.

A large part of Beijing’s espionage efforts involve cyber hacking U.S. defense systems and other industries related to America’s military.

Thanks to numerous foreign agents, many of whom once wore American uniforms, Beijing has undertaken a complete military modernization in the last five years. The Chinese Navy is now the undisputed ruler of the South China Sea, which threatens American allies like Singapore, The Philippines, and Vietnam.

Ironically, the Democrats, who are currently obsessed with Russia’s supposed “interference” in the 2016 election, were the party who did so little to stem the tide of cyber espionage in America. Under Obama, the cyber threat increased tenfold.

Such cyber attacks on private and public institutions must be stopped now. We need to secure our digital economy before millions wind up bankrupt or fully compromised.
