(News Max) – Just in time for the Democratic National Convention, the official debt clock will hit $16 trillion on Tuesday, Fox News reported.
The figure will be reached as delegates arrive at the convention in North Carolina’s Time Warner Cable Arena on Tuesday.
The counter, on the Treasury Department website, is on pause for the Labor Day weekend, Fox reported but the last update was Thursday afternoon, putting the figure at $15.99 trillion.
At the Republican convention, the debt was placed front and center, with two debt clocks running throughout the festivities showing the total national debt and the debt accrued during the GOP convention.
