Yes, School Safety And Gun Education

PETITION DEMANDING THAT CONGRESS RESOLUTELY DEFEND THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION BY RESISTING ANY CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGE WHICH COULD INFRINGE UPON AMERICANS RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS.

To: All members of the House of Representatives, the Congress, the Senate and the President of the United States of America, herein known as ‘You.’

Whereas, ‘You’ as an elected representative of the people are to protect Americans’ constitutional right to keep and bear arms and shield this right from any and all infringement, this includes political opportunists endeavoring to exploit tragedies so to pressure Congress in creating legislation which would quash U.S Citizens’ constitutional right to keep and bear arms;

Whereas, members of Congress, the President and high-profile lobbyists with little respect for our Founding Fathers original intent expressed in the Bill of Rights seek to install their anti-gun agenda by mislabeling bullet types, capacity magazines as the instrumentality of assault and assault weapons which are a direct infringement upon the Second Amendment of the Constitution right to keep and bear arms;

Whereas, comprehensive studies of geographic areas where American Citizen gun ownership is encouraged has been compared with crime data in those localities spanning over three decades have proven that private gun ownership of U.S. Citizens carrying firearms both openly and concealed have resulted in a reduction of violent crime;

Whereas, authoritative studies of geographic areas in which private gun ownership is rigorously restricted, clearly show high incidences of violent crime.

Whereas, the “gun free zones” doctrine has not only backfired but has created a dangerous environment whereby criminals can feel comfortable and unchallenged with a criminal confidence of the high probability of their potential victims inability to fight back, protect or defend themselves or others;

Whereas, the ludicrous belief that laws will be obeyed by the lawless and thereby prevent crime is absurd and unfounded for it is the criminal who is the non-respecter of law, not the law-abiding U.S. Citizen, and therefore any anti-gun legislation will restrict law-abiding U.S. Citizens from defending themselves and merely serve to encourage criminals to continue and as studies have shown increase their unlawful behavior;

Whereas, reestablish the $200 million school safety funding, reinstitute the school protection program which provided $800 million to place local police officers inside our schools, reinstate what Congress abolished the: Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) funding.

SIGN THE PETITION

We, the undersigned, demand all members of the House of Representatives, the Senate and the President of the United States uphold the solemn oath of office they took to uphold the Constitution – including the Second Amendment, which openly and unequivocally guarantees Americans “the right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.”
