(Max Liberty) – “President Obama and Congress Declare War On US Public for 12 More Years in Afghanistan; Major Taxes, Deaths, Injuries — But No Benefit”
It’s official now. President Obama announced 12 more years in Afghanistan with no benefit to the American public. What’s equally depressing is that Congress has not objected to the public’s losses. Trillions of tax dollars, thousands of deaths, tens of thousands of injuries.
It’s like a cannon trained on the American public rather than on a real enemy power which could take over any territory of the U.S. There’s a first rule of warfighting: Don’t swat a fly with a cannon, or with a million-dollar missile or drone.
Osama bin Ladin, al Qaeda, etc. did substantial vandalism to the World Trade Center on 9/11. But they had no ability to follow up and take over even one square inch of the U.S. They did not even issue a set of “terrorist” demands.
The American public had to suffer for a decade before Osama bin Ladin was killed. This does not speak well of the Bush and Obama administrations — taking twice the length of World War II to eliminate bin Ladin and his small group of followers. Was it intentionally strung out?
As for the Hamid Karzai government, it is grossly corrupt. It fills suitcases full of $100 bills weekly for distribution — all with the blessing of the U.S. Much of the money comes from drug czars and U.S. foreign aid. The money does NOT come back to America to pay for the suffering back here in the U.S.
President Karzai has 350,000 soldiers and other security forces. The U.S. has upwards of 100,000. If the 350,000 are not enough for Karzai to stay in power with the Americans gone, then nothing can keep him there.
Insidious political forces have been getting fabulously wealthy on the backs of the American public. Hundreds of billions of tax-paid defense contractors have been a terrible drag on the economy back here at home.
Probably the worst bandits are the opium drug cartel. They are making billions weekly under the protection of the Karzai regime, which under the protection of the U.S. occupation forces.
President Obama and Congress say all is well in Afghanistan. But 80 percent of the public disagrees. The public wants the bleeding of dollars and lives to stop. Bring the troops home. Bring the money home. Bring the national honor
home.
