(Angry Patriot Movement) – In his last days as president, Barack Obama is sanctioning Russia and kicking out its U.S. ambassadors. One Trump team member has a theory for why it’s happening.
In a new interview, Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway said she believes Barack Obama is trying to “box-in” his successor before he leaves office by sanctioning the Russians for allegedly hacking the election, as per CNN.
Trump has said many times during the campaign that there is nothing wrong with the United States getting along with Russia. However, after Hillary Clinton’s failed reset with Russia and Obama having next to no relationship with Putin, it appears Obama is trying to sabotage Trump’s chance to have good relations with the Russians.
“I will tell you that even those who are sympathetic to President Obama on most issues are saying that part of the reason he did this today was to quote ‘box in’ President-elect Trump. That would be very unfortunate if politics were the motivating factor here. We can’t help but think that’s often true,” Conway said.
Obama is one to always criticize the Republicans for putting politics over the country’s interests, such as when he accused them of blocking legislation he wanted to pass. However, now Obama is actually trying to ruin his successor’s foreign policy objectives and is putting his political agenda over America’s best interests.
Conway then added, “That is not the way that peaceful exchanges work in this democracy. All we heard through the election was ‘Russia, Russia, Russia.’ Since the election, it’s just this fever pitch of accusations and insinuations.”
The worst part is there really isn’t any evidence that the Russians did anything to affect the election. In this way, Obama is trying to stab Trump in the back and halt his relationship with the Russians over nothing. Luckily, Putin understands that things will be different after January 20th, as the Angry Patriot recently reported.
Conway mocked Clinton’s Russian excuse for losing by saying, “I don’t believe Vladimir Putin deterred her from competing in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.” Let us not forget that Hillary Clinton spent a lot of money running negative ads against Trump and based the entire election on negativity instead of what she was for. And she hardly even visited states she wasn’t guaranteed to win.
“It’s time for our country to move on to bigger and better things. Nevertheless, in the interest of our country and its great people, I will meet with leaders of the intelligence community next week in order to be updated on the facts of this situation,” Trump said recently.
Conway also commented that Obama practically sanctioned Israel by allowing the vote to go through the UN that declared Israeli settlements in the West Bank to be illegal occupations. In this way, it appears Obama is going one by one to our allies and finding ways to hurt them to damage Trump’s ability to engage in foreign policy.
Barack Obama should be reassuring our allies and not taking any major foreign policy steps during the transition between administrations. Instead, he should be advising Trump and helping him form a government that encourages connection between nations, not further dividing them.
We should all remember this when 2020 comes around and Obama starts campaigning for someone else. We should remember how he spent the last days of his presidency screwing the American people and our allies.
