It will be tea party pick Sharron Angle against Beltway insider Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada in November as Angle won the GOP primary to face off against one of the Democrat architects of the Obama health care takeover.
Angle, who has been picked by tea party interests, defeated GOP insider Sue Lowden 39 percent to 27 percent. Danny Tarkanian had about 23 percent of the vote.
She was part of a ladies night, as Meg Whitman, Carly Fiorina and Blanche Lincoln also were apparent victors.
Whitman was competing for the GOP nomination for California governor, Fiorina was up for the Senate nomination in California and Blanche Lincoln appeared to be holding onto the nomination for her own U.S. Senate seat.

Former eBay executive Meg Whitman spent $70 million of her own money to defeat state Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner for the GOP nomination for governor. Former Gov. Jerry Brown, who now is attorney general, is the Democratic nominee.
Former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina was expected to defeat GOP opponents former U.S. Tom Campbell and state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, the pick of the tea party, to challenge incumbent Sen. Barbara Boxer, whose support is on the decline.
One of the more interesting races was for California secretary of state, where Orly Taitz, the lawyer who has spearheaded several of the major lawsuits against Obama over questions about his eligibility to be in the Oval Office, was contending for the GOP nomination.
