(Angry Patriot Movement) – Vladimir Putin will NOT be kicking out more than 30 U.S. diplomats in retaliation for President Barack Obama expelling Russian diplomats and seizing two of its estates.
Yesterday, Putin’s foreign minister announced a tit-for-tat response was going to take place, but the Russian president says no such action will be occurring. Putin has opted to wait a few weeks to discuss the evolving hostilities between the two superpowers with President Donald Trump.
The Russian president appeared eager to hold off making any moves until Barack Obama vacates the White House.
“It is regrettable that the Obama administration is ending its term in this manner,” Vladimir Putin said. “Nevertheless, I offer my New Year greetings to President Obama and his family.”
The Russian president went on to say, “My season’s greetings also to President-elect Donald Trump and the American people. I wish all of you happiness and prosperity.”
Earlier today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov appeared on Russian state television to discuss the sanctions levied upon the country by President Barack Obama. Lavrov described the sanctions as “antics” which Russia would not let go by without an appropriate response.
Yesterday, the Obama administration announced sanctions would be levied against Russia for what the White House deemed a “decade-long campaign of cyber-enabled operations” against the United States, NPR reports. The Obama administration included the alleged Russian hacking of Democrat Party emails in the list of cyber attacks that prompted the levying of sanctions.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also stated the Obama administration has offered up zero proof of Russia being behind the cyber attack on the Democrat Party emails. Both the Kremlin and WikiLeaks have stated Russia was not behind the hacked emails.
Lavrov announced plans for Russia to respond in a manner befitting Obama’s ousting of 35 Russian diplomats. The perceived retaliation plan for Russia to eject American diplomats required Putin’s approval, which it apparently did not receive.
The Russian official had called for 35 American diplomats to be ordered to leave the country in 72 hours and for them to lose access to two buildings they routinely utilized – just like Obama did when seizing control of two Russian estates in the United States.
The two Russian properties in the United States are located in Maryland about 90 minutes from Washington, D.C. and in New York. Only about two hours after the Russian president shared his proposed plan of retaliation, Vladimir Putin stated he was not going to kick out the American diplomats.
